The goal of Better Classroom Guidebooks is to develop learning resources for use in Canadian Social Studies classrooms.  All of our resources  are distributed on DVDs and may be printed out as required.  You are invited to explore our website and download sample resources that you can use in your classroom.

BC Guidebooks' Crossword Puzzles

BC Guidebooks publishes crossword puzzles that compliment the Pathways, Crossroads, Horizons, 1^st and 2^nd editions, and Counterpoints textbooks.

Better Classroom Guidebooks publishes several collections of crossword puzzles about Canadian History.   They include This Day in Canadian History,  A Week in Canadian History, Events in Canadian History, Crossword Puzzles for the British Columbia 150 Calendar, Geography I and History I.   Teachers will find that these collections of crossword puzzles are valuable resources for teaching about Canadian history and geography. 

BC Guidebooks' Learning Guides

Teachers of Canadian history at all grade levels will be interested in our Learning Guide for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s video series Canada: A People’s History. This Learning Guide is an excellent tool for leading individuals or groups of students through the content of these powerful videos.

Better Classroom Guidebooks has also developed Learning Guides that will be of use to Civics and Social Studies teachers who employ the textbooks Canadian by Conviction: Asserting Our Citizenship; Civics: Participating in a Democratic Society; Horizons: Canada's Emerging Identity; or Counterpoints: Exploring Canadian Issues.
