Better Classroom Guidebooks’ Learning Guide for Counterpoints: Exploring Canadian Issues leads students through an examination of Canadian issues using the Counterpoints text. The Learning Guide includes
reading guides that guide the student through each of the textbook’s chapters; short quizzes that review the key vocabulary and significant individuals or events of each chapter; and short
essay assignments for each chapter.
The Learning Guide can be used in a variety of settings, for
example: in conventional classrooms as guided reading assignments
for the Counterpoints textbook in preparation for teacher
designed activities; in any classroom as “make up”
assignments for students who experience extended absences; in
multi-grade classrooms where teachers must present several
different social studies courses; and, in classrooms where students
enter and exit a program at varied times and require self-paced
study materials.
The Learning Guide for Counterpoints: Exploring Canadian Issues is
distributed on DVD and in Microsoft Office format which will
allow purchasers to easily modify the Guide's components to suit
their own unique circumstances.
