Better Classroom Guidebooks’ Reading Guide for
Horizons: Canada's Emerging Identity leads students through an examination of Canadian
history and geography using the second edition of the Horizons
text.
The Reading Guide can be used in a variety of settings, for
example: in conventional classrooms as guided reading assignments
for the Horizons textbook in preparation for teacher
designed activities; in any classroom as “make up”
assignments for students who experience extended absences; in
multi-grade classrooms where teachers must present several
different social studies courses; and, in classrooms where students
enter and exit a program at varied times and require self-paced
study materials.
The Reading Guide for Horizons: Canada's Emerging Identity is
distributed on DVD-ROM and in both pdf and Microsoft Office format.
The later format will
allow purchasers to modify the Guide's components to suit
their own unique circumstances.
